Why is the WASPA 2026 Conference critical for achieving SDG 6?

Sustainable Development Goal 6 aims for universal access to safe, clean water and sanitation. Currently, a massive roadblock to this goal is Non-Revenue Water (NRW). When treated, clean water escapes through cracked pipes or is stolen via illegal connections, utilities lose the resources and revenue required to expand pipelines to underserved areas. The WASPA event is vital because it directly creates the technical roadmap to plug these losses, turning wasted water into expanded access.
