Maintenance for high-volume steel tanks is significantly easier than for concrete or plastic.

• Liner Technology: SBS uses NSF/ANSI 61 certified liners that prevent water from touching the steel. This inhibits algae growth and sediment buildup on the walls.

• Annual Inspection: SBS recommends a professional inspection at least once a year. Because the tank has a smooth internal bladder, cleaning (if necessary) is faster and uses less water than scrubbing porous concrete walls.

• Debris Prevention: Every SBS tank is fitted with a sealed dome roof (G550 high-tensile steel) to ensure the water remains free from contaminants, bugs, and dust.
