On many routes, from the Cape to Cairo travellers will pass by a steel panel, Zincalume SBS® water storage tank. Malawi is no exception. Between Marka and Nchala at Illovo Sugar stands a 621kl SBS® water storage reservoir that was installed in 2016. Towards Blantyre, taking the M3 to Zomba, in the Thondwe Region, a 554kl SBS® water storage tank, situated on a local farm was installed in just seven days at the end of October 2020. Heading north on the M1 to the capital, Lilongwe, at Kanengo Tobacco Processors there is a 767kl water storage tank which was installed in November 2008, twelve years ago and is still functioning as new without any problems.
